Who owns FoodVIP, how we use restaurants’ names, logos and photos, what this site collects and the terms for using it.

Ownership & trademarks

This website, the FoodVIP show, its name, logo and artwork, the host’s name and likeness, and all original video, audio and text are © Orph Labs AI, Inc. All rights reserved.

FoodVIP™, HipBits™ and their logos are trademarks of Orph Labs AI, Inc. and may not be used without permission. HipBits is a product of Orph Labs AI, Inc., and FoodVIP is a HipBits show.

Restaurant names, logos and photos

Restaurant names, logos, photos and menus belong to the restaurants and their owners. We use a restaurant’s own photos and logo with its permission, or small portions for news reporting and commentary. A restaurant that wants a photo, logo or detail changed or removed can ask through our contact form (choose Legal), and we act on every request.

Editorial independence

Restaurants do not pay to appear on FoodVIP and are chosen by the show. If a segment is ever sponsored or paid for, the episode and its page say so clearly. FoodVIP is not affiliated with or endorsed by any restaurant it covers.

Openings and accuracy

Opening dates move. Coming soon picks are based on public records and announcements, such as licence and permit applications, and link to their source, but a restaurant can change its plans or never open. Check with the restaurant before you go. FoodVIP is for entertainment and information, may be wrong or out of date, and is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind.

AI disclosure

The FoodVIP host is an AI-generated character, not a real person. Their face, voice and photos are synthetic. Scripts are written and fact-checked by the production team, and AI tools are used to produce the video and voice. The restaurants, dates and sources are real.

Privacy

My List. The restaurants you save, the ones you mark as been, the episodes you mark as watched and your VIP pass are stored only in your own browser (local storage). They are not sent to us, and clearing your browser data clears them.

Contact form and tips. The contact form asks what your message is about (partnerships, legal or a tip) and for your message. Partnership and legal messages also ask for your name and email, and optionally a company and a link. Tips ask for a one-line headline, at least one source link and the details; your name and email are optional, and a tip sent without them arrives as “Anonymous”. When you send a tip, our server visits each source link once to check that the page exists. We store each message in our database (hosted by Supabase) together with the address of the page you sent it from, and email it to the HipBits team at info@orphmedia.com through Resend, our email provider. We use your name and email only to reply to you, and we never publish who sent a tip.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics and Metricool to count visits and see which pages and episodes people watch. They set cookies or similar identifiers and collect information such as pages viewed, referring site, approximate location, device and browser, which Google and Metricool process for us.

Video and social. Episodes and Shorts play in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube (Google) does not set tracking cookies until you play a video; once you do, it may collect information about your device and viewing under Google’s privacy policy. When the site shows our latest Instagram posts, those images and videos load from Meta’s servers, which receive your IP address and browser details. Reservation, website and Instagram links for each restaurant take you to that restaurant’s or booking provider’s own site, under its own privacy policy.

Hosting. The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard request data such as your IP address to serve pages and keep the site secure. There are no ads on this site.

We do not sell or rent personal information. To see or delete a message or tip you sent, use the contact form, choose Legal and Privacy, and tell us the email you used or roughly when you sent it. This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Terms of use

You are welcome to watch, read and share links to FoodVIP for your personal, non-commercial use. Please don’t scrape the site, re-upload or redistribute our videos, artwork or text, or present our content or host as your own or as endorsing anything. Links to restaurants and other third-party sites are provided for reference and are not endorsements. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. We may update these terms and this page at any time; the date below shows the latest version.

Contact and takedown notices (DMCA)

Send questions, privacy requests, corrections and copyright notices through our contact form (choose Legal). A copyright takedown notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) must include:

  • your physical or electronic signature, as the owner or someone authorized to act for the owner;
  • the copyrighted work you say is infringed;
  • the material you want removed, with enough detail to find it (the page or episode URL and, for video, the timestamp);
  • your contact information: address, phone number and email;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law;
  • a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner.
